Hai Friends in many occassions you would like to access Facebook or would like to watch some videos on youtube , but unable to watch because your college has blocked it . I will tell you some tricks in order to gain access over them . First you need to know what is an ip address ? An IP address is an computers identity over internet , it is a number given to your computer when you connect to the internet just similar to the number on the mobile phone . Like your computer has an ip address each and every website has it's own ip address e.g. the ip address of google is 74.125.135.106 . How difficult it would be for you to remember an ip address of a website each time you need to connect to it . To avoid these problems DNS lookups(Domain Name Server lookups) were introduced and each website was given a domain name or URL so that we can use the domain name to connect to that website. When we type a domain name e.g. www.google.com our browser handles the DNS lookup queries , it converts the domain name into the corresponding IP address and displays the website .You can access google either by typing www.google.com or by typing 74.125.135.106 in your browser .
Some colleges or business organisations block access to websites like Facebook or youtube . They either block it through domain name filtering technique or through IP address filtering technique . In domain name filtering technique domain names are blocked i.e. the domain facebook.com is blocked . They can block the IP address of facebook.com itself 74.125.135.106 . If they have blocked through Domain name filtering technique then you can access these websites using their Ip address but if they have blocked it through IP address we need to follow some other techniques. For this we use a proxy server , it is a server that acts as an intermediate between us and the internet i.e. it helps us to remain anonymous online . There are many web proxy's online so that you can access them , one of the anonymizer.ru which helps you to surf anonymously through the net . To use this web proxy you need to type anonymizer..ru in your browser and it will redirect you to a Russian Website . The Website has text bar to type so that you can type the website that you wish to access anonymously . You would to visit facebook.com that your institution has blocked then you need to type www.facebook.com in the text bar and click the go button then you would be redirected to facebook.com . What if your organisation has even blocked access to Anonymizer . There is another URL hiding proxy that doesnt contain the keyword of the domain you wish to access , hidemyass.com provides this feature. You just need to repeat the
same procedure as in the case of Anonymizer.
